Notre Dame vs Alabama Predictions – Jan 1, 2021 – 4PM ET ESPN

Alabama comes into this game with a flamethrower at QB, big RB and a super fast WR. All 3 are being considered for the Heisman. Then their roster is stacked with 5 Star recruits – I believe ND has one.

Bama averages in the neighborhood of 45 points per game. Solid defense though not as good as past years and yeah you can score on them. They had a few close games but prevailed. Steve Sarkisian is their OC.

So how are they going to defense ND? Simple, just follow the Clemson blueprint. Close off Book’s escape routes and just overwhelm the ND interior OL.

Shut Book down and ND goes nowhere. If you’re ND you have to get the ball in space to Chris Tyree – perhaps run a 2 back set.

ND’s OC and DC co-coordinators were atrocious in the last Clemson game and Trevor Lawrence ate them up. You just can’t give away the 2nd quarter and make changes at halftime. You fall behind Alabama and you’re dead. ND needs at least 45 points to win this game. Can they do it? No.

Score Prediction: Alabama routs them 45-30.
