Notre Dame 40 Boston College 7 – Recap And Highlights 2019

For the first 1/2 hour, it looked like this ND Offense slipped back 4 weeks – they looked awful. Once again the Defense saved them.

QB Ian Book was running for his life and was getting hit quite often. The O line as usual were jumping offside and not really blocking for either the run or pass.

Ian Book was again the ND #1 rusher – 66 yards. He even topped BC’s RB AJ Dillon who gained only 56 yards. If the object is to get Book hurt, keep running this unimaginative offense.

Even so, Book was 26/40 for 239 yards and 3 TD’s – Kmet, Claypool and Finke. Braden Lenzy once again took an end around 61 yards for a TD.

If the “O” plays like they did in the first quarter, Stanford could upend them.

It’s too late now, but looking ahead Kelly has to take a serious look at all the offensive coaches – first to go is the the OC.
