You will be underwhelmed when you see the practice highlights. It’s just a bunch of guys running around catching passes and the QB’s just lobbing the ball. ND reports the hiring of Deland McCullough from Indiana as the new RB coach. Also, ND reports the hiring of TE coach Gerad Parker from WVU. Both have extensive experience as well as a connection to Marcus Freeman. The only position still open is DC and it seems ND waiting on Al Golden LB coach
Here are the recent ND Coaching hires: Brian Mason – Special Teams Coach from Cincinnati Harry Hiestand – OL Coach Chansi Stuckey – WR Coach from Baylor Al Washington – DL Coach from Ohio State As of now, we are still waiting DC and RB coaches.
Al Washington is heading to ND as the DL Coach. He has a lot of experience and is a very good recruiter. In other news, RB Coach Lance Taylor is going to Louisville as the OC.
In a surprise announcement Mike Elston is going to his alma mater Michigan. I would assume that he was told he was not in the conversation for the DC position. He was given his chance in the Bowl Game and failed miserably. I would also assume that who ND is chasing for this position perhaps
ND gets Kicker Blake Grupe – the leading scorer from Arkansas State who was 64/86. Check out his video highlights: In other news, Baylor WR Coach Chansi Stuckey agreed to coach ND’s WR after meeting with the Irish on Wednesday. He played WR at Clemson and spent 5 years in the Pros.
LB Bo Bauer and WR Joe Wilkins both announce that they will return for ND Football for the 2022 Season. Both will help and if Wilkens can get coached up he can be a player similar to Austin who left for the NFL. This is another positive step for the ND football team.
