Number 79 RG Steve Elmer 6’5″ 315 lb 30 game starter is hanging up his cleats. Steve apparently has a super job offer in Washington DC prompting him to skip another year. Plus he indicates his heart is no longer into football – time to move on.
I think he was given the word that he was not an automatic to start and he did grade out last on the starters in 2015. This is a big hole to fill especially if injuries pile up.
Steve was an early enrollee and was projected to be a star.
