New OC Chip Long

It is being reported that Memphis OC Chip Long will be named the new OC at Notre Dame. He’s a young guy at 33 – similar to Mike Sanford as an up and coming hot shot coach. It’s also being reported that he will get a 3 year contract. This is important since Kelly probably will be fired in 2017.

This is just a bone thrown to people who count at ND by Kelly since no way no how will he give up play calling. Mike Sanford’s biggest mistake was taking ND over Ohio State. He sure as hell would have learned a LOT MORE from Urban Meyer than Kelly.

So regardless Kelly just will not acknowledge that some kid 33 years old could possibly know more than him – after all he’s been a coach 25+ years. He always fails to mention that they were Div 3 and 2 schools. That’s not much of a move up from a major High School program.

So good luck kid – hope it works out to your advantage. Just be advised if the offense is better your name will never come up.
