Mike Elko apparently signed a 3 year deal – must be vetted you know. A graduate of the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania he’s had the usual small time stops before landing successful stints at Bowling Green and just recently at Wake Forest.
He has a reputation of running his defense based on the type of players available to him. He’ll go 3-4, 4-2-5 and also will throw in the old Buddy Ryan 46 defense.
About the only one safe on defense is Mike Elston and that is mainly due to his running the recruiting department. Apparently only Elston and Elko were considered for the DC spot.
In other news Tori Hunter WR will not pursue a 5th year but rather will join the minor league baseball team the Los Angeles Angels.
