Media Day August 18TH

Kelly addressed the press and said that this team is faster with better athletes and just need to put it all together. Position competition is pretty intense and if I was an upperclassman I would be worried. These freshman and red-shirts are something else, they really motor.

True frosh RB is now the #2 RB. It looks like he’s jumped Justin Brent who either can’t find a position or his head just is not into it.

Notables so far:

• Avery Sebastian – a Cal transfer – he looks to be ahead of Shumate at Safety.
• CJ Sanders true frosh is exceptional.
• Shawn Crawford Frosh CB is a fierce competitor.
• EQ St. Brown is a faster Robinson.
• Q. Nelson is getting most of the reps at LG, so he starts over Bars (really a tackle)
• Tori Hunter is making a move on the slot position.

All in all we have a great group of receivers, now we just need for Zaire to hit them.

Another plus worth mentioning is that KeiVarae Russel is finally fully cleared by NCAA.

Only 2 1/2 weeks to Texas.
