Jimmy Clausen Concussion

I am not a Pro Football fan, only occasionally watch Tom Brady but decided to watch the Bears Lions game since Jimmy would play in place of Jay Cutler. I have no idea the ins and outs of Cutler’s season but do know he just scored $147 Million from the Bears, but they want him out.

Enter Jimmy, hasn’t started a game since 2010, hasn’t played this year and had 1 day to practice. He was 23/39 181 yds, 2 td’s and 1 pick – Hail Mary at the end.

Earlier he had a targeted helmet/helmet hit when sliding and while he finished the game he was later hospitalized for a concussion and will miss the final game and perhaps the end of his career.

What really, really bothered me was the obvious purposeful dropped passes–7, that’s right 7 and I’m not talking about hard catches. These were right on the money, easy catches.

I could only conclude that the receivers either were making a statement about Cutler or they want to see the coach fired. That doesn’t help Jimmy as he hoped to have a statement game (he did) and follow it up with a good outing in the season finale either cementing his position with the Bears or at the very least increase his prospects with another team.

I think he out QB’d Matthew Stafford and Jimmy can still throw beautiful passes and this was against the #2 defense in the NFL. By the way Lions are a very dirty team.

I really hope he can get another chance, for with a good OL he could make a breakthrough.
