Blake Barnett – The “I’m all in” 4-5 Star QB from Corona Calif dumps Notre Dame and opens his recruitment to everybody.
He just recently had a 2 day visit with Oregon and finding he had a very good chance of starting early was probably pivotal in him dropping ND. I’m betting Oregon or UCLA gets him in the end.
It probably was pointed out to him, that ND has 3 QB’s with years to go.
- Golson – 2yrs
- Zaire – 4yrs
- Kizer – 5yrs
Why this did not occur to him earlier is beyond me. Actually ND does not need a QB in the 2015 Class–so they may just pass this year or go for an underrated kid just as a precaution.
I’m not really bothered by this defection as I would be if there is a problem with Zaire leaving – so Kelly must get Zaire significant and meaningful playing time in 2014.
